▶What is the Official BBQ Champions Registry?
The Official BBQ Champions Registry is an independent public registry dedicated to recognizing BBQ champions and preserving BBQ competition history.
▶Is the registry free to join?
Yes. There are no registration fees and no annual dues. You earned your registration when you became a BBQ champion.
▶Who can register a championship win?
All BBQ champions, including category winners, from local cookoffs, charity events, church competitions, community festivals, fundraiser events, and sanctioned BBQ competitions may submit their wins.
▶How are championship wins verified?
Each submission is reviewed using event results, organizer information, social media announcements, or supporting documentation provided by the champion.
▶What happens after my win is approved?
Your championship receives an Official Registry Number and is permanently recorded in the Official BBQ Champions Registry.
▶Can I register more than one championship?
Yes. Each championship win may be registered and added to your Champion Page.
▶What is a Champion Page?
Your Champion Page serves as your permanent championship record and may include wins, event details, photos, and registry numbers.
▶Do I receive a certificate automatically?
No. Registration is free. Certificates are optional items available for those who wish to display their accomplishments.
▶What information appears on a certificate?
Certificates include the champion name, competition name, event date, location, registry number, and QR code linking to the Champion Page.
▶What does the QR code do?
The QR code directs visitors to your Champion Page where they can view your registered championship record.
▶Will my personal information be displayed?
No. Personal contact information such as email addresses and phone numbers is never displayed publicly.
▶Can I update my Champion Page?
Yes. Registered champions may request updates or corrections to their information.
▶Is the Official BBQ Champions Registry a sanctioning body?
No. The registry does not sanction, organize, judge, or rank BBQ competitions. Its purpose is to preserve and recognize all BBQ championship achievements.
▶Why was the registry created?
To ensure BBQ champions and their accomplishments are preserved as part of BBQ history for future generations.
