What the Registry Is

The Official BBQ Champions Registry is an independent public record of BBQ competition wins. It does not sanction, organize, judge, or rank BBQ competitions. Its purpose is to preserve and recognize BBQ championship achievements.

Registration

Registration is free, always. There are no fees or dues to join the registry.

When you submit a registration, it goes live immediately with an official registry number and a "Pending verification" label. An administrator reviews entries after the fact. Verification is a review step, not a guarantee, and an entry later found to be false, fraudulent, or a duplicate may be removed.

If you provide an acceptable supporting image, the entry is marked verified automatically. That means the system accepted the image; it does not mean the registry independently confirmed every fact in the submission. An administrator may still review, correct, or remove the entry.

Supporting Images

You may upload one event photo or event flyer that you have the right to provide. Do not upload unlawful, misleading, infringing, or private material without permission.

Supporting images are private by default. A flyer will not be displayed publicly. If you explicitly opt in to displaying an event photo, you give the registry permission to store, resize, and display that photo on the related public Champion Page. You may request its removal through the Contact page.

Certificates

Certificates are optional and are not required for a free registry listing or champion badge. The digital certificate is a separate paid download. Printed and framed certificate samples may be shown for illustration, but physical checkout remains unavailable unless shipping rates, product variants, and fulfillment have been configured and enabled. If physical ordering is offered, the checkout page will clearly show the price and shipping terms before payment.

Payment, Refunds, and Disputes

All certificate payments are processed securely by Stripe. If you have an issue with a charge, contact us through the Contact page first. Refund and dispute questions may also be handled directly through Stripe.

Accuracy

We make a reasonable effort to review submissions, but we do not guarantee that every detail on the registry is error-free. If you find a mistake in your own entry, contact us so we can correct it.

Acceptable Use

Do not submit false, fraudulent, defamatory, or unlawful information or images. Do not imply that the registry is affiliated with or endorsed by an event or sanctioning body when it is not. We may remove any entry or image that violates these terms.

No Warranty

The registry and certificates are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update.
